The 4SIGHT™ yard and dock management system from 4Front Engineered Solutions integrates a facility with software to monitor, schedule, and communicate trailer movement, load assignment, and loading dock status in a simple interface.

The system bridges the gap between warehousing and transportation to help alleviate common logistics problems. It combines RFID, GPS, and sensor technologies to provide companies with real-time yard and loading dock visibility, helping them to improve trailer coordination and turn time management.

According to the manufacturer, event management capabilities and alert notifications help reduce the labor associated with moving and managing yard assets.

Features include a graphic interface of the yard and loading dock with color-coded, exact location mapping and activity display; gate management, which provides visibility of inbound and outbound equipment; load assignment and dock door scheduling, allowing managers to assign loads to specific trailers and optimize dock door usage; and productivity and activity reports that provide data on the usage of trailers, dock doors, equipment status, and switchers.
