Box-making machine

Hipak offers the Kinetic box-making machine, which is designed to produce short and medium runs of corrugated boxes. Using servo control, the machine can change automatically from one box style and size to another in just seconds, says the company. All the operator needs to do is tell the machine which box is required.

By adding the HiCut module, operators can produce boxes from stock board, remove glue tabs, make extra creases and windows, and perform die cuts. All tools are controlled through the touchscreen and set themselves automatically. The system can accommodate a fully automatic sheet feeder, stacking, and either ink jet or flexographic printing. More than 100 FEFCO (European Federation of Corrugated Board Manufacturers) box styles are available. The machine has run speeds of as much as 1,200 boxes per hour.
