Skipping Stone adds partner

Skipping Stone, Los Angeles, has announced that on May 1 Ross Malme joined the firm as a partner and member of the board of directors as an equity owner. He is based out of Skipping Stone’s Atlanta office. A recognized authority on demand response, smart grid, and energy technology, Malme leads business and corporate development for these fast-growing areas.

Malme has more than 25 years of leadership experience in the energy and technology industries, including executive-level roles with Schneider Electric’s Demand Response Resource Center, Enron Energy Services, Schlumberger, and Chevron. He also was the founder and CEO of RETX, a demand response technology firm, which has since been acquired by Schneider Electric. He has served as chairman of Peak Load Management Alliance and has formed a global demand response initiative in conjunction with the International Energy Agency.

He has a B.S. degree in chemical engineering and an MBA in industrial marketing and finance.

Skipping Stone is an energy consulting firm providing market assessment, strategy development, and strategy implementation and managed services.
