Acrylic adhesive bonds multiple substrates

May 3, 2010

Acrylic adhesive

Lord Corp. offers Maxlok™, a new acrylic adhesive developed to meet the need for a process-friendly adhesive that will work on various substrates, including unprepared metals.

The adhesive is available in three cure speeds, each of which incorporates glass bead technology to help ensure optimum bond line thickness. Gray in color, the adhesive matches or blends with most metals and performs at temperatures ranging from -40 to 300 degrees F.

The product offers high adhesion strength without the need for a primer. It resists dilute acids, alkalis, solvents, greases, oils, moisture, weathering, and UV exposure.

The adhesive is available in 1.69- and 12.68-fl.-oz. cartridges, as well as bulk packaging.
