TEKFAB delivers drilling, sawing system to solar customer

TEKFAB Inc., Albany, Ore., has delivered an automated drill and saw system to a company in the extrusion processing industry. The system is being used to make mounting hardware for photovoltaic panels.

TEKFAB designed and manufactured the system to take up a small amount of floor space, produce parts at a high rate, and conform to strict tolerances.

The system is expected to pay for itself in less than one year and reduce labor costs by up to 80 percent in this situation. It replaces six machines.
