AGS Technology adds cost estimator to Web site

AGS Technology has added the AGStimator, a do-it-yourself plastic part cost estimator, to its Web site at www.agstechnology.com. In less than a minute, the estimator can provide an injection molding quotation for a structural part made from a choice of the company’s Injectoblend™ recycled materials.

The cost estimator requires nine pieces of information to calculate piece-part price: part number/description, tooling new or existing, annual volume, material type, part weight, molding machine size, cavities, cycle time, and labor/operator requirements.

The cost estimator offers six different grades of recycled raw material: general-purpose ABS, general-purpose ABS+PC blend, 33 percent glass-reinforced nylon 66, impact-modified polycarbonate, acetal copolymer, and 30 percent glass-reinforced polypropylene.
