The Raymond Corp. has developed Eco-Performance, an approach to designing and engineering lift truck products for reduced energy consumption and sustainable operations.
In independent third-party testing of the company’s lift trucks in store-and-retrieve cycles, the Swing-Reach® truck was found to use up to 40 percent less energy than competitive models. The Reach-Fork® truck used up to 21 percent less energy, and the model 4250 stand-up counterbalanced truck used up to 17 percent less energy.
As shown by the tests, this design approach enables the lift trucks to require less battery changing, increasing equipment uptime; reduces the trucks’ CO2 emissions to decrease their carbon footprint; and allows faster cycle times for more pallet moves.
